Intermediate Course
Intermediate Courses are finally launching in January 2010!
The course consists of two weekly sessions. To get the most out of the course, you should attend both sessions every week and, ideally, run once a week on your own.
1. Introduction to speedwork – this is a challenging, yet fun session that will push you near your maximum and really get your heart racing. You’ll also learn how to reduce the risk of injuries and sprint safely. Weekly sprinting sessions are a great way to improve your running speed and performance, they’re guaranteed to boost your cardiovascular fitness, strengthen your lungs and heart and even boost your immune system.
2. Social run and core strengthening & yoga for runners – We’ll starts with a 30 minute easy run. After that, we’ll move indoors and do a short session of basic core exercises followed by some deep yoga stretches to address common runners’ problems. This session is great for preventing injuries, relieving (and preventing) typical runners’ aches and pains, improving your flexibility, posture and core strength, improving your body awareness and addressing any muscle imbalances or issues you might have. You’ll feel great and relaxed afterwards!
Who should attend: This course is designed for those who have completed the Beginners’ Course. If you haven’t done the Beginners’ Course, you need to have been running regularly (i.e. 3x week) for few months and be able to run comfortably for 30 minutes non-stop. You do not have to be a fast runner or particularly fit to take part!
Where: Ballsbridge/Sandymount, Dublin 4 (exact location tbc)
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 6.30pm, Starting 16th March
Duration: 6 weeks
Price: €120 if you have completed the Beginners’ Course; €150 if you haven’t.

Although I havent done your beginner class, I am a reasonable runner, have done the mini marathon in 50-55 mins for the last 5-6 years and am running a few times a week now but would like to improve.
